I have a question and if it is not allowed I'll have the mods delete it. It may sound goofy but I'm a bit confused. Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between these two medicines: amitriptyline and amyltriptaline? Am I losing my mind? the first I found for pets

I take amitriptyline & am also stockpiling this for a potential CTB cocktail method. I guess pets get prescribed for anxiety/depression too…

Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant primarily used to treat major depressive disorder, a variety of pain syndromes such as neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, migraine and tension headaches. -Wikipedia

Hope this helps.

So there is only amitriptyline - is this an animal drug? I noticed Chewy sells them sorry for my ignorance

Article:
Amitriptyline, sold under the brand name Elavil among others, is a tricyclic antidepressant primarily used to treat major depressive disorder, a variety of pain syndromes such as neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, migraine and tension headaches. Due to the frequency and prominence of side effects, amitriptyline is generally considered a second-line therapy for these indications.
