question re/ home address, hotel, LE

say I live with a girl friend of mine. I then go to a hotel to attend to some salty business. I am found out. will people go to my home address to talk to my friend, or will they simply notify my closest living relative? I'm uncomfortable with the idea of my friend being interrogated, especially seeing as how she really dislikes social interactions.

Depends on the particular circumstances and locations. Each police department has their own protocols.

Feel like it'd be pretty standard protocol to talk to whoever you've recently been living with. Won't they need to eliminate your girlfriend's potential part in the suicide?
