Question for Aussies on here

I'm not sure whether there are many Aussies on here, but for those who are based in Australia, how did you manage to join? I thought this website was banned and blocked?

I also provided my IP address when I joined. I'm not using a VPN. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I don't want to be traced and the police showing up at my door.

I've got a vpn extension on my browser, but I just tested one where I don't and it still went through. Maybe it's not blocked after all.
I don't see how the police could show up at your door, just for looking at this website. I don't get how it would be worth their effort considering how many people look up suicide on the Internet.

Yes that's why I thought it was strange, because it was a blocked website about a year ago.

You are right, maybe I'm just being paranoid. They probably have better things to do.

IME they dont have the time or resources to do much just based off whos browsing this site or who has a suicidal search history. the fact ive lived my whole online life with no police contact involving whatever ive done over the years or the people ive known even when ive reported people gives me enough cynical confidence to stay on here lol.

Thanks for that, it's reassuring. I've had a recent experience with the police which was unpleasant to say the least, so I'm going to avoid any kind of contact with them.

I hope it stays unblocked. This place is better than the Australian mental health forums where it seems you need to censor yourself or else you get reported.
