Just full suspensionDepends if you're doing drop hanging I suppose or just full suspension, if there are low branches or the tree is easily climbed etc.
I think a small stool or chair or something would be enough in that case.Maybe a little stool will be enough.
Just full suspension
Full suspension is tricky, Its got a boat load of requirements your size and height factor in , full suspension was designed to snap your neck, while asphyxiation comes after. I highly recommend not doing this method, Look up short drop, it's easier and less painful, if you do it right you'll pass out before hand
Probably a small folding ladder will do the trickYou got it all wrong.
What you are describing is the long-drop and not full suspension.
Full suspension does not involve snapping one's neck, only hanging the whole body (as opposed to partial).
OP, as I am in the same boat, we will need some sort of a ladder, or at least a chair.
In order to tie the knot on a tree branch, we will need to get higher than we can reach from the ground.
Probably a small folding ladder will do the trick
Unless you have the climbing skills of a squirrel I would imagine you would . But on the positive side , a small lightweight 3 or 4 step ladder is probably all you need (and you can hide that in a bag ). Good luck.
Definitely not a squirrelUnless you have the climbing skills of a squirrel I would imagine you would . But on the positive side , a small lightweight 3 or 4 step ladder is probably all you need (and you can hide that in a bag ). Good luck.
I am afraid of heights, I don't know how people do thatTrees are too difficult. They are hard to climb, and my paranoia wouldnt let me just go out with a ladder under my arm, Ill be thinking 'What if others KNOW'
Bridge is perfect. Sturdy, will withstand my weight, railings are easy to climb, and 15 meters is plenty enough to break my neck.
I wish I could climb trees ;_;
As my backup method, I've considered this. As long as you don't live in a big city (eg London) you'll never have to travel far to find some woods that will have no one coming through them during the night. Plus if it's dark someone would have to come very close to see you, and hanging doesn't create that much sound.It can be a box, or a cheap Ikea chair that can assebled on the spot, doesnt have to be a ladder imo. Doesnt seem like feet have to be too high from the ground.
Anyway, I have been thinking more of a place to do it, where you cant be spotted or interupted. Still cant find one.
