Poll: How do you want your body to be disposed of after you die?

So, how do you guys want your bodies to be disposed of after you ctb? Do you want to be buried, cremated, disposed of in the most ecologically-friendly way, have your body donated to science, be disposed of in a way not mentioned here or you simply don't care about what happens with your body after you're gone? Bonus points if you explain the reasoning behind your choice in your comments.

Personally, I'd like to be cremated because I found the idea of becoming food for insects and bacteria very undignified. I would rather be reduced to small components in a quick and artificial way and destroy the microorganisms that live in my body with me. I'd also like to be cremated because I think that cemeteries are a waste of space, people spend too much time visiting dead bodies, and because I believe the act of burying people when there are better ways to dispose of a body is too primitive, but that's just my opinion. I'm not sure about how I'd like to have my ashes disposed of, though. Having my ashes turned into a diamond sounds very nice, but my family can't afford that, so I have no idea. What about you guys?

I'd like a natural burial (no embalming & bio degradable casket). It won't make up for the impact I have had on the planet but it would mean as least resources as possible are used in the disposal.

Otherwise yeah a cremation.

In reality I don't care because I might be a little to dead to notice. But it would be cool to have a sky burial, if I had unlimited options.

For those who don't know, a sky burial is where you're left on a mountain and big ole birds of prey carry off your parts into the sky... It would be a good burial for an aspiring sky king.

Being nailed into some box with sometimes half the house worth of trash with you, is somehow seen as some sort of compensation in the eyes of the living.

Cremation because i would like to completely erase anything tied to my existence.
But i know that if i ctb there will likely be an autopsy and with the common delays in these processes i think the coroners are legally bind to bury bodies whose autopsy hasn't been done in more than a 48 or 72 hours if i'm not mistaken.
Hopefully that won't be my case.

The thing is if i die alone, which is likely what will happen, i will have no one to secure my cremation so i will most likely be buried. Oh well, the thought of being eaten by insects and larvae is disgusting and undignified but nothing beats the achievement of eternal peace and everlasting true unconsciousness...

One thing i will do though, is register myself in the non organ donation program. In where i live they presume that everyone doesn't mind to be a postmortem donor. So if you are against it you have to sign a paper and deliver it in a hospital. Then they put it into a database on the internet that is accesible throughout all hospitals in the country, so the doctors know that said person is a registered non donor.

OR I'm gonna do what one of my favorite teachers swore she would do. Divide my ashes into small bags to pass out to my former students so I can haunt all their asses.

I suppose since my husband and I have plots, if I were to go before him I'd be buried, but me personally, I don't care what happens to me. My plans are to wander deep into a forest to cbt, hopefully not to be found. I have no close family (that I care about at least), and so far I'm only planning to cbt after my husband passes.

Well for me if i can get the paper work sorted out going to end up in my local landfill :) . Found out a place that deals in biowaste sum they burn but if its none toxic can just be put in a container and berryed at a landfill site. As long i have no deadly diseases like TB or other things be ok to dump me and by the looks it mite be cheap to only 100 - 200 quid most of that will go on the paper work :D

I like sky burials too, but since I'm not likely to die in the Himalayas I'll turn my body over to science. I love cemetaries but the sentiments that create them are alien to me. If you want to spend money on me, do it now, please.

I wish I could be a person who could do cremations. I would save money by setting the right program with a 20 second countdown for the doors to shut lie down and let the program do it's work.

I prefer my body to be cremated and the ashes to be scattered somewhere in a forest near the town where I was born. I don't know if it is even legal, putting aside the fact that it might be quite expensive, just telling my preference. I believe returning the matter into nature is more eco-friendly than having body lying in a cemetery for hundreds of years.
But if the preference can't be done, I'm fine with whatever method the people in charge will choose. My soul won't care about that too much.

I signed up for organ donation. Hopefully, The Paramedic's find me in time to use my organs. If I can help others that want to live life with my organs I will be happy knowing that I could help someone live the life they want to live. Other than that, I want to also donate my body to science.

Not much a fan of religious burials, Alan watts is a big influence for me.

It's my belief that,
every species in existence not just on this planet but throughout the universe are all connected. When we pass away the only thing that can happen is the same/or sort of experience that happened when we were born.
After we die, We exist in a state of some form of nonexistence but not absolute nonexistence. If you picture what it was like before you were born, you can't because you didn't exist in our sense of the meaning of existing. It's also not exactly the same you as we would describe it as being reborn for example but it would be more because everything is connected and that is why you are "kind" of still alive in our meaning of the word.
we are everything and everyone and therefore you as a person in your current mind/body dies but you are still part of/ connected to the whole existence of the universe.

Cremation - I currently have 3 urns on my mantelpiece. mums, dads and katies. when i pass away all 4 of them are to be poured into the ocean. so we can float around the world and be fish food all at the same time :) i think it's a touching tribute to the final story of an entire family.

Direct crem for me im a member of a funeral directors page on Fb and they say they have more and more requests for direct crem these days which is getting banged straight into the fryer no service no nothing

I Would rather be cremated but for the sake of my family I will be buried. It helps the emotional recovery of family and friends to go trough the final acts of death and have a place to visit.
