Just got a pup. My parents came home with him like an hour before I was about to ctb. I was feeling all weird already and I don't think we had really recovered from the death of our previous dog. This baby is such a good fucking boy but I really don't think we should have gotten him. All three of us (me and my parents) are doing super bad right now and I'm worried that it's being taken out on him

Even if I had the space for a dog I'm probably not social enough for them to be happy. It would work if there was 2 dogs though and wed be a lil pack spreading around the lulz.

I'm down to one feline. I had to put the other down in April. The day before my fucking birthday. I miss her scraggly face. She would have been 15 this month.

Now it's just me and her loud, fat daughter left. We've established a bond that works for us over the months. I've always loved her, but no shame, her mom was my fav.

I have two dogs. They are my babies. One is a pup we got in April and he is growing fast. The other we had since 2012. I was scared when my mom decided to get a pup this year, cuz my older brother loves to beat dogs. I hate him for it but atleast this time, if he ever tries anything to any of them, I will hurt him. No more being a pussy.

Not for the last year, not ready for another pet. Came home from work and saw my cat at the end of the driveway in the gutter by the road side - hit by a car, she was messed up...buried her that evening in the front yard while it was pissing down with rain. Still makes me fucking angry.

I've avoided getting any pets after the last ones died because it wouldn't be fair to them. It's an extension of a larger strategy as I withdrawal from anything optional to "neaten" my passing. This means I also avoid reconnecting with people and try not to take on new work.

I thought about this but then I realised that rescue animals kind of need a home and I think providing an animal with a perfect home, if you really are dedicated, isn't such a bad thing to do.
