I get my test results and where I live I can also order a TSH test myself. I see the results and request the dose I need. I do realize if my hair starts to fall out I need a higher dose and also have other symptoms that go away when my dose is raised. I have found over the years my dose needs to be raised about every two years.
This actually is the correct thing to base the dose on. It's such an individual thing but generally if that TSH score is very low people feel better. Even below 1 is sometimes needed.
Ah my friend you are assuming everyone has the same medical access, knowledge as you. Where people are getting annoyed I think.
UK the doctors are hit and miss if they'll do a Tsh test, only if Tsh is way off will they do t4, maybe t3.
Paying private costs £50 just for Tsh, £100 for all 3
I paid privately, showed my gp who refused to accept the results still due to not being nhs, so I bought thyroxine myself and when I ran out I had organ failure and its now on my file that I abused thyroxine by taking 100mcg for what was hypothyroidism. Because the doctor had no compassion.
I believe alot of compassion and even common sense in doctors is gone due to people abusing the system for things like benefits whilst doctors who care live a terribly demanding /difficult existence. They become apathetic, even cruel sometime it certainly seems. Orchestrated by the Draco.
And the average people rarely help each other instead criticise and destroy for as simple as a differing opinion.
