Just read in another thread about IC SN police investigations that someone was told by police that they had ordered a suicide kit with gas mask from Canada.

I'm f***ed if the police turn up at my door again, barely got away with explaining the SN visit. I don't even have the SCBA kit I purchased from EM anymore. So worried now, this is making me even more suicidal

It really is such a horrible situation, it truly disgusts me how people wish to make suicidal people suffer even more by removing reliable method options. The police should just leave people who want to die alone, treating suicidal people like criminals just proves that this world is hell.

They check up on people. When they came today I was not under investigation. I had a welfare check in UK.

Good point actually, I guess mine was a welfare check. They said I hadn't committed a crime & seemed satisfied when I told them I was feeling much better now than when I ordered months ago (a lie).

Yep, same here. I asked them to give context behind the visit, whether I am under investigation, being check in on, arrested etc. They said it was essentially a welfare check. I did actually start filling better after not finding my IC, and working hard to improve my sleep patterns (or actually sleep) while out of the country. ADHD felt better but now idk how this will affect me.

Assuming this is just to build a case against kl it seems way over board. Welfare checks if you can even call them that for people that typically have enough substance to kill themselves once or twice. It's not a danger to anyone else and their lack of info/ seevices offered seems like that's not the reason. And I would think they have the common sense to realize this isn't actually helping anyone. I wonder what the real end goal is.. somethings missing in my mind.

I'm not so sure about that: people here often talk about the system "forcing" them to live but it really does seem it thinks it is doing good by "saving" people. Of course when "help" was forced on me the people involved in the process gave off a palpable indifference so it's just as likely no one actually gives a damn either way.

Yes I've also had a welfare interview with the British Police because I purchased a regulator from EM last year.
I spoke with them on the phone first and asked if I could come to the police station instead of a home visit, so this saved alot of hassle for me.

I've nothing bad to say about how the police were with me. It was more like a social worker interview even though I was in there over an hour.
