There are two sides for this particular mood : The sun, and the moon.

With the sun I lie, tired after a full night of rest. Wanting more sleep, or to be left alone to eventually sleep again, but I always have to get up and start the day.

With the moon I stand, with the tranquility of nighttime, I do not skip it with a lapse of life. I remain awake, aware of the long moment, as if I paused it at my leisure.

Each side a reflection of the other, still pointing to the same cardinal :

With the sun, I don't want the day to start, not seeing any worth on the day ahead,
With the night, I don't want the night to end, not seeing any worth on the day ahead.

Still the clock moves.
Even if all is stopped, as long as I'm alive, I'm moving forward where there's nothing.
The eternal night, when I will fit, will be in my coffin.

A moment where this corpse fills a coffin, with nothing in it to be out of place.

[ I guess I could look forward to distractions from this truth ]
[ Writing this deep in the night man...]

Hello @Archness,
Thanks so much for sharing.
I also prefer a night's darkness,
Because for me sunlight is too glaring.

Living in daylight is so hard,
In this devoid of delight, a cruel place.
You'll be rewarded with grace,
Only when you end up beneath a churchyard.

But you have inside you divine light,
Which leads you to an eternal night,
In which you'll enjoy everlasting slumber.
In your comfy underground chamber.

Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed your poem 🙏
Sometimes I'm wide awake at 3 AM and wish I could fall asleep, have a nice dream a bit and then never wake up.

Being "real you" is so hard in this world. I write poems a bit and post them here, but they are only suitable for a suicide forum.
So, in terms of money, my rhyme doesn't worth even a dime.

Please post your writings here (or on your blog) if you want.
I hope your life will be a bit less unbearable 💙💛

Nice poem.
I also like dark nights, especially during a thunderstorm, it feels like there's a "thing" that understand me, and sharing the sadness with me
