Unlike food, the maximum time an individual can go without water seems to be a week. A human can go for more than three weeks without food (Mahatma Gandhi survived 21 days of complete starvation), but water is a different story.

I no the pain of anxiety and how it makes people...i hope u can try find peace.....

I know exactly how you feel. Is there any way you can get something to help calm you a bit? Diazepam or something.
I know what you are going through. I'm in hell with neuropathy through my entire body and now it's throughout my head and face. Life is hell on earth 24.7

Starvation is a slow process unless you already have other health issues.

Depending on your body weight can also determine how long to expect, since after 3 days(I think), your body starts eating up the stored calories, and then eating away at your body fat(not calling you fat, just an example).

Like @Rallyon said, you can go up to 7 days without water, sometimes longer.

After so many weeks without food, you start getting weaker, and some people start getting delirious and disoriented.

It's not a fun trip from what I hear. I had considered this option, but have not attempted.

It happens to me, the tinnitus in your ears(I always seem to hear the wind blowing), and I go through mood swings throughout the day. I can be sitting and having a normal, ok day .... Then suddenly, out of nowhere, I have tears running down my face, and I'm back on the bottom of hell.

I don't know why they won't help you. Most places as soon as you mention suicide, they take you in.

Jesus fasted 40 days, aside from him being magical or whatever, he survived and was, well, human.
It's not the smartest way to do the sewerslide.

Starvation isn't something I stand by. It's slow and agonizing. You're just torturing yourself and I highly doubt anyone can bypass natural reactions to binge and re-feed.

Sorry about what your going through :( Yeah like everyones said, your already going through alot of pain, and starving would just burden you even more and put you in even more pain as its just a long process and its more torture for you. Id do N if you have the money for a peaceful death, for you to finally find some peace that you'd be looking for or SN. Hope you feel better.

There are many causes for tinnitus, including some common medications.
Here's a website to check out if you wish. I hope it helps.

I don't have Tinnitus, so I can't know exactly what you're going through, but I have issues in regards to sensory sensitivity, so I can sympathize when it comes to not being able to deal with any sound or noise. It's like being trapped in a torture chamber. I hope you're able to find peace one day.

sorry you're having to deal with so much :(

i get relatively mild tinnitus and found calm music can help sometimes, anything to distract from the ringing tbh.. insomnia is it's own nightmare!

hope you can get some relief and sleep soon.

i tried no food or water a couple of times, extremely difficult to fight the urge to drink (might work if you're somewhere very hot), i lasted 4 days before i broke

I feel for you, Susan, and wish I could help somehow. What country are you in? I hope someone here could give you links to sources for SN and the anti-emetics and antacid you need. I know you're not in a state to research that yourself. Gentle hugs - hope you can at least get some sleep

I had a therapist tell me that about a year ago. She told me there was nothing left that was available to help me. Saw me to the door, said good luck, and I haven't seen her since.... Maybe I drove her crazy?!?!

Hi, like you, my tinnitus has gone ballistic this last 6 months or so. Anyone who has not experienced it cannot even begin to comprehend what it does to you. I go for another hearing test tomorrow to see if there is anything that can be done. I have read that in extreme cases like your own, as a last resort, they can puncture the ear drum which has had some success in reducing the impact of tinnitus. Maybe you could investigate that further. I cant remember where I read it otherwise I would link it.

I also find that everything else is now three times louder than it should be. The tv, people talking, traffic, the noise just bombards me constantly. Even the keys on this laptop seem loud.

If I find where I read that I will link it here for you ok.

Fuck. I thought I was the only one (and that I was a sook) for this being a factor that makes me feel suicidal. I have pulsating tinnitus in my right ear. It just randomly started one day a few months ago. And it's driving me fucking mad. I never knew something like this could effect a person so much until I experienced it myself, as selfish as that is. My heart goes out to everyone here

I promise this is not me blurting out a bs suggestion thinking I have the solution to something so complex as what you guys are experiencing because I hate it when people do that to me. So this is just a suggestion and I apologize if it's very stupid. I listen to binaural beats at night to calm my anxiety and help me sleep and I always see people in the comments saying their tinnitus goes away while they're listening. Apparently the lower the volume the better the results. Although those of you with hyperacusis might not be able to tolerate even that. It might be worth a try perhaps? Again, I'm sorry if this is ignorant of me, I just can't imagine what it must be like and I wish I could help in some way <3
