I guess it does for some people but you are unlikely to find many here. This seems to be more of a last stop kind of place. Have you checked out the 'Recovery' section? Have an inkling there may be more people there who are finding ways to survive.

Brain broken. Hard to type. You can pm me. But hard reply. Had ss friend to talk on zoom. Would be eating candy together now .. but got hurt... Scared her away... Therapies refuse to help me. Too far gone... Sent me in psychiatry. Where rhey give drugs that worsen symptoms and deshumanize us. Tried 5 times right after psych ward. No one belueve body hurts. Victim of crimes. Police said i deserved it. Threat me worse than criminals. Small woman. Sick. Get abused... Non stop since child... Tried death at 11... 42 now. Pure hell. Need... Friend... Speak voice... Hard text
