Places to jump Uk.

What are the best places to jump in the Manchester-Liverpool area?

So far I have Clifton Suspension Bridge and beachy head but they are not near me :(

I don't know, but I know Beachy Head is regularly patrolled. I read a news story about one of the volunteer team who saved this woman - she'd actually taken the step, but he caught her hands in time, and she was screaming at him to just let her go. It freaked me the hell out - overcoming SI enough to actually take the leap and have someone grab me?

I'm generally a pacifist but I think that'd snap me.

She did. The article said he grabbed her wrist just as she jumped, and he was holding on to her with a police officer sat on his back to stop them all going over, whilst she thrashed about trying to dislodge herself screaming and cursing at him to let go. Apparently she then attempted another method within 2 weeks.

He got an award for "saving" her.

I've never fancied jumping but there are numerous disused China clay quarries in Cornwall. Clifton used to be an option but you can't climb over the bridge parapet now. I'm more private for me it's going to be pills or if I manage to stay alive and get cancer I will use my fund saved for Dignitas. I've notified my doctor and carry a signed document at all times saying in case of accident no treatment and no recussitation

After reading this it seems like my only options are running and then putting my head under a speeding truck or train.

Would you be able to take wire cutters or something to Clifton? Wikipedia said the number of jumpers had halved, so clearly some people are still managing.
