I just want to clarify if this is about pineapple as the only ingredient on a pizza? Because I am from the US and just last night I saw on another menu What we refer to as Hawaiian pizza. But that includes pineapple and ham. I've never actually heard of only pineapple.

This is driving me so crazy now that I just got up to look at the menu again to see when they list all the possible additional toppings if pineapple was mentioned. It was. I already hate ham so I'm not sure how it can get much worse I guess

well, you could always do something other than ham. some places where i am lets you customize fully

Yes, you can customize fully here also. I guess I was just trying to say if I could think of a worse ingredient than ham to pair with pineapple. I think it's a no.

funnily enough that is how pineapple apparently made its way onto pizza. i posted the wiki link for Hawaiian some days ago. a greek guy was inspired by (north american) chinese dishes, so he put a tropical fruit on an italian food. oh and he was in canada at the time.
dunno why the ham though
