Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Well, that's pretty personal. It depends on a lot of factors that only you know.

For me, I've been writing notes as therapy since I was 14. At first they were angsty and directed to people I wanted to hurt, but when I got serious about ctb, I was forced to write something to those I love, and it was like a splash of cold water to the face.
It's a good idea that you start trying to write something now, instead of waiting for your attempt, because there's nothing harder than to explain this choice to someone who doesn't want to see you gone.

And before actually saying goodbye, I recommend spending time with them. Give them moments they can think about later, so there won't be any doubt you didn't love them. Treat it as if it's the last time you'll see them, because it is.
Make it count.

Also, you can choose to not leave a note. Let the time spent together speak for itself. However, even if you don't intend on leaving them something personal, it's still a good idea to write down a will.

I wish you peace, and that maybe death doesn't become the only viable way

if i spent more time with them leading up to my attempt, wouldnt that just make it hurt more when i actually do it?

I don't think there's anything that can make it hurt less. I've lost far too many people to suicide, and all I wish was that I got to spend just a little more time with them.
They're gonna lose your presence forever, please give them as much time as you can before you do it. It won't ever be enough, but it helps
