• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Everyone always says "Nooooo you have inherent value as a person" whenever someone talks about how they want to kill themselves because they're not a worthwhile or valuable person etc. It's just not fucking true, the advice is ALWAYS that you need to improve "try to be positive" "fake it till you make it" "take care of yourselves" and so on. The mask slips whenever someone talks about romantic relationships or even friendships though, if someone complains that they're lonely they'll get a slew of people telling them that they need to work on bettering themselves as a person and that they need to be a worthwhile person to be around. So it's obviously clear that people can be less valuable than other people, everyone just pretends like that's not the case because they feel so bad about the suicidal person killing themselves :(( but they have no solution if they don't make themselves a "better person" or is still unhappy and miserable regardless. Just say that you think people of sufficient worthlessness should improve or kill themselves, stop being a little coward and say what you mean.

No, I do think that people have inherent value. And that no one has more value than others. Fuck capitalism for making us think our productivity is directly tied to our self-worth and value for living. People like us have every right to exist. We just want to be happy and I don't think that's wrong.

i feel like every single response that comes from people who try to deter you from suicide is always the default "nooo don't do it life is worth living" "things will get better" "you just have to be patient and improve with time". actually pmo, you just don't want the weight of someones death on your shoulders. stop pretending you care.
