Tried and did not pass out so gave up. Now my necks all red :-/. I just felt pressure and slight suffocation sensation. I couldn't hear much either. How long does it take for unconsciousness to set in?

I hit a sweet spot one time and passed out quickly (don't remember how long but it was fast and didn't realize it)

are you sure that could hold your weight? keeping in mind the chances of you not flailing (putting more pressure/weight on it) is highly likely

When I tried it seemed to hold my weight (just doing partial) but I didn't pass out, just felt like I was suffocating basically. I'm thinking I missed my carotid :-/
Oh I see that makes sense... idk but I def don't want to fail because ppl will be angry with me. I will consider something better to use as a ligature...

It could be your neck shape and size as well. And the size of the ligature.

Suffocation happens when you block the airway.
Find a way to block the carotid arteries but not the airway.

How can you do that when the rope goes around your whole neck?

Is it better above or below the Adam's apple ? I thought once gravity takes over, the rope would slide up to under your jawline though?
