Here

He takes a network cable, makes a noose from it and just lets his foot fall forward.

Is this position effective? What are the chances that SI kicks in and you get up?

Thanks

I remember when this video was fresh... how time flies by. The only situation in which you will get up is if you fail to blackout before the survival instinct becomes too strong. As you can see on the video the guy used the position with his legs extended so he could drop down with force and cause the sufficient pressure to carotid artery so that the loss of consciousness would be more rapid.

This video, on the other hand, shows a man literally kneeling with the noose around his neck and achieving the same result.

Been trying alot, with myself crouching and leaning, SI is so hard, easier with SN, drink and that's all you have to do. Btw does this website have a search function, I only want to view the hanging videos, really don't want to see anything else on this website..

Is it just me or does hanging seem like one of the scariest ways to go? It looks oddly visceral.

To me, it's a wonder that people can just 'allow' this and not have the SI kick in, my suffering is extreme but to get past even losing consciousness is impossible for me, plus there is the fear of failing and getting brain damage. I'm impatient to wait for an SN attempt because I have to fast and also have to organise a hotel room.

God I wish these positions worked for me, instead the sitting one is too painful and the kneeling one takes too long (sigh).

Partial will always have the SI/escape issue. Position can be different for everyone. You need to really lean into to as hard as possible and hold it to pass out. That is when most people escape.

SN is not "drink and that's all you have to do". You have to sit and wait for 10-20 minutes before you pass out. This gives you plenty of time to think about what you're doing to yourself. Your heart starts racing. You also might be throwing up. There are plenty of threads on here of people drinking SN and immediately changing their mind. I'm not trying to harp on your method but you need to be aware of how it really works.

Different positions work for different people. It all depends on what works for you and your anatomy and what you find comfortable. As @Lebensunwertes said, the short drop can help you pass out faster therefore avoiding SI but it isn't necessary. You just have to find what works for you.

It is visceral but if done correctly you are unconscious very quickly. You are, in theory, unaware of any choking, gurgling, or thrashing your body does.

You realise you're answering a thread that's over 2 years old?

How could erotic asphyxiation play into this method of hanging? Can a person experience a relaxed or orgasmic state prior to becoming unconscious? I have low blood pressure and sometimes have almost fainted and I experience a feeling of euphoria. I believe there's a medical term for this.

I mean most of the erotic asphyxiation is done in partial hanging so why not
