I was just thinking of the logistics of a method and wanted to run a scenario by all of you. Say I want to do a partial hanging with a belt (the Robin Williams method), but I take enough benzos and alcohol to induce myself into a sleep, would that increase the chance of a painless death? I understand that even if you get the belt right around the neck, you may still wake up and survival instincts will kick in. What are some things that may go wrong with the scenario I proposed?
