how cooked am I from fear mongering and conspiracy videos because at this point I genuinely believe this storm was manufactured as some sort of ritual

I've just been seeing so many videos of chemtrails in the skies of states that are supposed to be hit by the storm and I can't believe this is my life now... at first it was just "there's a group of people out to get/stalking/watching/following me" and now I can't even trust weather events

The News said exploding trees are possible because of the extreme cold. I found this odd.Been hearing about some other weird snippets as well.I'm not sure how much of this is factual.

Could be an interesting bus option though. Some forum members might turn into nature lovers this weekend😁

People lose their shit over the most normal of things. People buy all the bread and toilet paper to survive the rest of their life just for a weekend of potential bad weather. It's nothing new. It is a function of modern media, though. I don't think the massive panic happened before TV and radio could spread information fast. I think people in the old days were probably scared of stuff they didn't understand... but didn't have lots of time for random panic over things that weren't happening yet.

I was in the store yesterday for a couple of things and lots of shelves were empty of things that otherwise people wouldn't have been buying. People buy shit they don't need because they think the sky is falling. It's like nobody read "Chicken Little" and learned anything as kids... adults going apeshit because it is going to be cold in the middle of winter and maybe a storm... I'm not saying to not be prepared... but part of "be prepared" involves ALWAYS being prepared, not eleventh hour panic shit because you never prepare so not only are you still not prepared but you panic bought a bunch of shit you don't want and don't need AND probably kept someone else from getting something they actually will need because of your selfishness.

People just piss me off sometimes.
