it depends on how quickly you drink the amount- you'll need to drink less if you drink it all in 20 mins vs 2 hours and whatnot. either way, difficult to do, especially purposefully bc of willpower. Just do note that mild symptoms of water intoxication include nausea and vomiting [link] so it would not be a great experience.

Agreed... Water intoxication is not the way to go... There's a good chance that OP will be fighting their own body as it attempts to expel the water back up... and the water that comes back up will also include whatever else happens to be in the stomach, resulting in a potentially smelly and disgusting mess.

oh and also sidenote (i keep going back to search stuff up about it lol) it really depends on a lot of factors of your health and such but its unclear how exactly given that there isn't much data about it compared to like hanging. Like i saw one case where a 35 y/o mother died from it from a relatively smaller amount of water than what i'd expect but then a 64 y/o woman who had 30-40 glasses and had a rather prolonged death in comparison.

i read a study where they also think that it can cause changes in mental state aside from being delirious/confused but honestly i think it's more the other way around where the mental state changes drastically and then the compulsive/excessive water drinking occurs, just my opinion on how they presented it

Somewhat different matter, but also kind of relevant - there was an episode of MythBusters where they filled a pigs stomach with water to see when it would explode. The myth was something to do with being able to drink enough water that your stomach would tear/explode.

They found that it was impossible to do, because you would have been sick before even reaching that point.

So without some way of "blocking" your body from being sick, I don't think it'd be possible and probably a very uncomfortable way of going (I picture it being very similar to the sprite challenge where your stomach is filled with gas and it's very painful)
