Across the board, understanding is a rare commodity. That it can be found here is our luck.

I have heard of organisations supporting the right to die, but I cannot see suicide being accepted any time soon. The society wants to prolong our suffering and force us to resort to the most painful methods possible. It is cruel trying to trap people in this world against their wishes.

Many non suicidal people live under this delusion that 'things will get better' and 'life is always worth living', and they see suicide as something that must be prevented and is always irrational. I could only see this changing if everyone became suicidal and saw life for what it really is. Then people would understand. The fact is that suicide could never be wrong, as life has no meaning or purpose and all that we are doing is just waiting around to die anyway. No one has any obligation to live in the first place.

All suicide 'preventions' like hotlines are pointless. They do not help anything. The whole idea of a hotline assumes that suicide is always irrational which does not reflect reality. What we need is our right to die respected and the option of a peaceful exit for all.

I think the barrier needs identifying so plans can me made on addressing it and creating a gateway in it.

I'm thinking back to before I found myself in need of a way out. I have always been pretty open minded so I can't really identity it feom my own perspective but I do know that I had fully understood it the way I do now. I would have definitely been inclined to attempt to help before accepting the choice. I would have got there though. However I would probably have struggled to admit/support it openly to others. I think that may be the big issue. People largely follow the tide and those that are inclined to move against it will do so on a number of controversial topics and do so with gusto. Suicide however is amongst the top taboos. It's easy to argue for it where a sick and suffering person is involved but not quite so black and white where those with mental health issues are involved. I feel like the only way to overcome it is to change many minds simultaneously in order that the tide would move and gain its own momentum. Rather than constantly fighting to win over minds one at a time. People need to see that it's okay to be okay with it. To the degree that they might, when faced with the odd person against it, be inclined and confident enough to speak up in favour.

I don't think many people actually have a genuine stance. They're blank slates that often choose their view in the spur of the moment and they take the path of least resistance. From there they exponentially find ways to justify that syance but they don't actually look inside and ask themselves the question. They just go with the tide as is the instinct for survival amongst the sheeple.

Truth is, we each have our own views and I think many here are little too inclined towards allowing any and everyone to just call it a day. I'm not sure exactly why I feel that way. I guess because I see life and more importantly sentience as a pretty big fucking gift. But on the other hand I value peoples right to make their own choices massively. I guess more than anything I feel a sense of projected FOMO for them. Because when it's good, it's SO good. And I want that for others. From both a Selfish and altruistic point of view. If all options have been exhausted then I THINK I think, fair enough.

Perhaps that highlights another issue. Which is that people's reasons to agree will vary and it makes a single convincing argument impossible to reach across the board. Appealing to logic work for some but not others. Appealing to decency and fairness works for some but not others and so on and so forth.

So going back to my first thought...... A plan is needed and common ground for arguing the matter needs to be agreed as without a united front with a mutally agreed modus operandi its always going to be easy to shrug off individual attempts as a result of mental illness and a lack of clarity. Of course it has to be said that we each must question ourselves honestly on that and only choose to fight for the cause if we can look ourselves in the eye honestly and say yes, we are clear of mind and open to reasonable discussion. Any unreasonable attempts just provide ammunition to opposition.

To commit suicide is looked at like we're commiting a crime. To ourselves no doubt. But who wants to end up on a padded 10x10 cell w/ no windows if u fail to CTB and get caught?

That Psych ward room is so unrealistic.

This is what it really looks like in America, it's basically half of a pine box coffin with toilet paper bed sheets. A flat ass pillow and it's lifeless. It's like the psych ward is mocking you at your failed attempt at death. "Haha, you suck at killing yourself so now you get to pay $5000 per night to stay here.

And these are the pro-life people who are so gleeful at all the profit they'll make from your failed attempt.
