There may be an actual treatment for diabetes in the next few years that doesn't require insulin and strict dietary changes. Nonetheless, it really blows when your health forces you to give up some of the small pleasures like food that we previously got to enjoy without restrictions. Hopefully your blood sugar will stabilise to the point where you can have some treats again soon.
