PPI aren't recommended if I'm not mistaken but I don't know.

IMO, in doubt, recommended dose. One pill. A hour before.

I'm not a Gastroenterologist but I do have some familiarity with Omeprazole. All PPIs do is reduce the amount of acid in your stomach. Admittedly I don't know if having more or less acid in your stomach would affect how easily you absorb SN, but I don't think it's gonna help prevent vomiting. An antiemetic would prove more effective in decreasing the likelihood of vomiting.

i think po bioavailability of sn is best ~5% stomach is generally ~7%ph. def not a professional either tho so dbl chk that
i read thru the successes and throat burn seems common, dunno severity. got benzocaine (oralgel tooth/gum) for my prep pack then later read that benzocaine can cause methemoglobinemia which is precisely what is sought consuming sn. also read more about how vitamin c (ascorbic acid) is used to reverse some cases of mild methemoglobinemia so mentally noted to stay far tf away from that.

Two pills 1hr before sounds good for me. 30min is the minimum time.

I recommend at least 2 hours before.
Thanks but still... Two pills but what dosage? 10 mg? 50 mg? Etc.. How much of it?

I would take a 50mg. Maximum 2 of 50mg. 100mg. 2 hours before.

Complicated, seems that the PPH does not recommend antacids. So we're on our own.

I take several heart meds every day, and the maximum Omeprazole I take is 2 pills 2x day, 40mg each pil.

From the FDA website: "Benzocaine, a local anesthetic, can cause a condition in which the amount of oxygen carried through the blood is greatly reduced. This condition, called methemoglobinemia, can be life-threatening and result in death."
