I seem to have access to only old plastic iv bottles or bags that comes with only one port like this:

And I've been trying to find how to add medications to this type of bottle/bag without any luck. Would it work if I just inject a needle through the rubber seal and add the medication before putting in the spike port thingy? Or maybe use the other method where nurses sometimes poke a hole with a needle on top of the IV bag and leave it there but instead use that needle to insert medications in the IV bag/bottle?
