does anyone have any suggestions for whats helping them. i just got the whole appointment thing straightened out and in standing up for what i felt was right doomed myself to getting help because id be a dick to fight for something then walk away from it.

my biggest problem right now is anxiety so im working towards that as step one. step 2 do the genetesting i was suppose to do months ago but cancelled due to anxiety. thats suppose to tell me what medications will work well for me and from there i hope its not too difficult. so if anyone has any suggestions to kind of give me a direction to start looking that would be great.

Wish I could help. I DID have horrific anxiety, mostly cuz no one was listening and the docs were just making everything way worse. Benzos helped ofc, but that wasn't something I'd ever have envisaged staying on. I tried CBD oil at the start of the year and thought it helped, but it may have been a placebo and I was just feeling better because I was bring left alone.
Sorry, not much help, maybe CBD oil is worth a try though, many people say it helps and it's quite benign.

Wow, it's easily accessible here in the UK. That's a shame.

I replaced coffee with ginseng and that makes me less tense/jumpy.

Milky oats tincture daily starts to help after a week or so... My doctor recommended ashwaganda too but I haven't tried that yet.

Hydroxyzine helps my friend but that's NOT something you want to take every day, it's more of a PRN.

I haven't tried anything yet. My anxiety was never this bad so I never felt the need to do something about it. However it seems my hallucinations calmed down and my anxiety went through the roof :meh: who doesn't love mental disorders that likes to change things up.

Spoiler alert: the answer is me. I hate it. Lol. You just get it figured out and you have to start over. Ok back to the drawing board lol.

1) what's a PRN?
2) I read some where's that someone had 3 different medications and they use them in rotation. Not for thistype of medication speciffically though so I'm not sure if it would work. Example they would take one monday, a different one Tuesday and a different one Wednesday and then restart it over again. What about something like that were I don't take it everyday?

This is gave me a general thought. I have a sensitivity to medication. What if I didn't take it every day like I think you're suppose to for the most part. Could that help?

Come on I can't be the only one in the world sensitive to medication. There has to be an answer some where.

Herbs have really helped me. On the one hand they're weaker than benzodiazepines, on the other hand they're not addictive. If you're interested I've compiled a guide: A Guide to Herbs.

Mirtazapine has helped me and some people I know with anxiety. It's an old school ssri which has sedative effect at low does if you also suffer with sleep so fe me it's helped. A little.
Trouble is coming off them if that's a future concern so I'm definitely not pushing pharmaceuticals, just your question asked that. My two cents.. good luck
edit: just saw you said you're sensitive to meds. Our chemistry all different just I tried a few and this one worked out best. Main side effect is weight gain but I didn't put on much and needed to a little anyway so for me that was okay but for others not.

I'm on Venlafaxine and I guess it helps me with not crying all the time but the only thing that really helps me for anxiety and that pain in the chest from all the anxiety is weed or benzos. But benzos are addictive and it's not good. So I don't have any good advice unfortunately. I'm looking for some meds that could actually help me for a long time

PRN is usually as needed and I would try Vistaril/Hydroxyzine first before any others. If not, then maybe Buspar :)

tried that. im not paying 60$+ for a small bottle, to find one with enough in it (1000mg) cheap enough and a flavour i want...i swear its impossible

edit.....ok thats not funny, i did hours and hours of research looking for something a little bit ago and couldnt find anything, i didnt think i could pick a random site and not see a problem with it lol. idk i just did a quick look, there might be something

farther investigation..im not sure if theyll ship to me. they are very america oriented to the point where if youre not ordering from america it almost seems like youre second class

tried that. buy the time i pay for all the supplies i might as well buy it premade

did a quick search on them,

the Vistaril scares me

  • fast or pounding heartbeats,
  • headache with chest pain,
  • severe dizziness,
  • fainting, and
  • convulsions (seizures)
i have chest pains and headaches enough without it being a side effect and seizures fun. the other one doesnt seem so bad (watch this it wont interact well with something else im taking lol)

thats why im having such a problem with medication. between being so sensitive that im more likely to have severe side effects, drugs interacting with my birth control and being easily addicted to things (im addicted to cannabis currently) finding a medication for me is basically impossible. plus just the general "thats not for me" that everyone go through.

Have you ever tried Lyrica? Before I started taking it I had some horrible reactions to benzos and as we all know yeah they are difficult to quit in the long run. My doctor had to read and study some other options as we were running out of them, he explained to me even though lyrica is supposedly used in other fields, in some cases can help with anxiety (specially in my case since I'm bipolar) turns out it worked perfectly, no side effects (except the common incapability to concentrate 100% but eh) and it's been working great for months now, it's also way less addictive. Obviously it's not a magic pill but maybe try some research! I would like to be more thorough but English isn't my first language and I don't want to cause misunderstanding. Just take this as some option out there, good luck and sending much love ❤️

Can you explain this a little bit to me? What's it like for you? I have really bad intrusive thoughts I guess they'd be called so I can't concentrate in the first place (although when I can I do really good)

@Sinkinshyp @AutoTap

Sorry for bothering you guys but I have a question.

How did buspar treat you guys? (side effects)

I don't want to jump to conclusions but yesterday was a bit different for me. And the sheet I get with my meds didn't say anything about what I experienced but did say "if you notice any other side effects fell your dr" well how the f*ck am I suppose to know what's a side effect and what's a coincidence.

So yesterday morning I took my first pill. 2.5mg in the morning and that was it for the day. By the afternoon I had "randomly" cried 3-4 times and although I have in the past its not that common of an occurance.

To clarify it wasn't completely random but it was really minor things that triggered it. It started with me feeding my cats. They tend to gulp their food and I don't have a slow bowl yet so I'm feeding them by hand until then to slow them down. I was so out of it yesterday that I fell behind feeding June and she just sat there like a good kitty, I felt so bad that I just gave them their food and cried. That lasted for a minute. Then I did it a few more times because of stupid things I was thinking about or something and that's not exactly like me.

What do you guys think? coincidence or should I email my doctors office? I just took my second pull so I'll see how today goes anyway. Hopefully no more crying.

if you find it's making you cry after another day or so I would contact the doctor. It didn't do anything at all for me. No side affects no help nothing.
