• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Does anybody know much about obituaries? Although my suicide is delayed for the time being, it is still the final goal. I kind of want to get out ahead of my family and have one prepared and locked in prior. Like mail it out with a check the day of to whichever paper or publication or company would be responsible for distributing it and I'd be dead but with the peace of mind that my obituary would be the only version people would see.

But does anyone know how I would go about this or how much it would cost? If I'd mail or e-mail this to my local paper or a website or what? Of such a thing we're to be published I'd want to be the author, I'd especially want it to specify that I died by suicide

That's a great idea. I know my mom wrote hers. Call you local paper and ask what their procedure for submitting one. You could tell them you're terminal and prefer to handle this yourself. It's not like they're going to say no. Then all of the websites pick it up from them.

Thank you. That's extremely helpful and I appreciate it. That's good advice and I also like knowing the whole process and who sources what from who.

Also idk how long ago your mother passed but I'm sorry for your loss and you have my condolences.

I agree for newspapers but it is not always the way it goes. Especially ifyour family goes through a funeral home or even some crematoriums they have on-line "memorials". Basicly obits usually written by a family member. They are sometimes linked to sites like legacy.com or other online obituary sites. Just be aware there may be more than just the one you want out there.
