Nobody should have to worry about going homeless (or worry about going to prison as a means to keep shelter). A lot of people do, though, because the people who have the ability to prevent it or fix the homelessness problem are too greedy to see it done (which goes back to the reason why Universal Basic Income hasn't happened yet).

Scary thought, which we don't have to discuss on the publicly-visible part of this forum, do you think the same forces that make it too hard to have a home will make it too hard for everyone to have a debreather or Nembutal or a Sarco pod or something?

If Bernie won we would be so fucked u have no idea. We already have socialism but if Bernie gets in our taxes will go up even more and Medicare for all is not sustainable. The rich could only pay for it for about 3 years if u force them to. If u want to see the end result of socialism look up what's happening in Venezuela. Socialism lasted longer in certain countries where the people are more ethnically homogeneous but we don't have that in the US so it can't be sustained. The ruling class have already implemented all tenets of the communist manifesto in the US so we have been living under it a very long time. Socialism always leads to full communism because the rulers continue to pillage through ever increasing taxation and more and more laws and regulations that make it difficult for people to live. The rulers have slowly implemented socialist and communist policies over time so the people don't rebel and notice the losses of freedom.
