So my note is just over 7000 words, I may have got carried away describing my life, but it feels right.

Do you think this is too long, will people just not read it?

Either way, I feel better after writing.

You could prepare a summary version? There's no point not leaving something you've already written.

I'm pretty sure if you do decide to CTB it will be read over and over again. Write anything you feel you need to communicate. Write a book if you must. Your loved ones will read it no matter the length.

I'm glad you feel better.

I've been writing mine but I feel like I should alter some things, maybe not leave a couple I've written to some people that I thought I should I leave a note for. Idk really. I personally would say leave it the legnth that you want, I don't think it could ever really be too long. Say everything that you need to say. I don't mean a thing to anybody so my advice might not be the best though.

I don't really have a particular length, however, I like to keep mine on the shorter side and not over-explain things because mostly people will either misread it, misinterpret it, or just skim through it. Therefore, I plan to keep mine within a page, or two pages at maximum, just highlighting my reasons and some explanation (brief and direct), and then give some closure and peace afterwards. I do plan to have multiple notes, for family, close people who have influenced my life, and then maybe a few short appreciation notes to people who have been a big influence on my life.

As for your note, do as you see fit and since you already written it, I don't really suggest trying to delete it or over modify it, just keep what you have. If you want to condense it, like @Walilamdzi said, you could summarize it and have that version as well, it's all up to you.

Mine was more like a autobiography by the time i was finnished,i just kept thinking of more things to say,so i kept adding to it.
Really i was trying to keep it as short as possible. But the note is the last thing you ever get to say,it's really difficult to keep it short.

The problem is, will they understand?

The only one who can answer that is you: you know what you wrote and you know the people it's directed at. Do you think they will? If you've written a note in English maybe you can post it here and members may venture a guess as to what you meant exactly. Based on that feedback you may want to alter the note.
