Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Well, I've been looking for a "good" therapist for a long time and have decided to stop looking. I will deal with my issues on my own and self help books. I figure it this way, the last one told me I needed to be "in-patient." FUCK that!!! I would lose everything I've worked so hard for - my home, my job, my cat, everything would be gone - just because some douche bag wants to "save the world." No thanks. I have no intentions of giving ANYONE control over my life. Yeah, I have issues. But they're not going to be taken care of in-patient - that would surely push me over the edge. I'm so pissed that therapists think they need to shove someone who is depressed into a mold and shove them into a hospital. NOT this guy!!!! Just wrote the therapist and told her not going to be meeting with her anymore. Unattainable666 - heal thyself!!

Hello @Unattainable666,
I'm so sorry to hear that.
I think hospitalization isn't a solution - If we could make our best friends in a psych ward, it might help, but the odds are against us.
I would lose everything I've worked so hard for - my home, my job, my cat, everything would be gone - just because some douche bag wants to "save the world."
I agree - inpatient treatment could be not only useless but makes your problem much worse.

We are not doctors or therapists, but this forum helped me so much - I wonder whether there are therapists who are more beneficial than this community. People here "suffer together," which is the literal meaning of the word compassion.

I'll be here, we'll be here to hear from you đŸ’™đŸ’›

It's really so ridiculous that the only way people seem to be able to get help is to either choose to lie- or- omit certain key details about how they feel- ie. how bad they feel- or, be honest and risk hospitalisation.

I'm not sure what issues you have but I found both these YouTube channels helpful: 'The Crappy Childhood Fairy' and, 'Live Abuse Free.' Might be worth a look if you have any trauma in your past.

Thank you. I will look those over.

I don't trust therapists. One of them lied about me and had me sectioned by saying I was actively suicidal, when I never said anything of the sort.

I'm really sorry what you're going through is awful. Therapists may not even know what really could help you. In my opinion one has the best chances to find a way when you know the actual source and reason that is causing your "mental illness" and current health issues because then it can be eliminated in the best case but this is often difficult if not impossible unfortunately. Really I personally would avoid and reject any inpatient treatment because I'm not an experimental animal.

I would lose everything I've worked so hard for - my home, my job, my cat, everything would be gone
If that really happened that would certainly kill you on all levels. It's irresponsible from a therapist not to consider such an important fact that would destroy your life completely.

I hope you can find a way to deal with our situation without therapists.

I just think that therapy is just a way to profit from people's suffering anyway, it sounds best avoided unless one wants to suffer more in the prison that is the psych ward, ending up trapped in a psych ward really sounds so horrible to me. Sadly it's just the reality that we exist in a world where people end up being punished simply for wanting to die.
