Please help me. I have chosen nitrogen as it is mentioned to be peaceful and least painful. I have suffered significantly the past few years with residual pain and discomfort from deep self harm cuts from a previous attempt and even tried partial hanging but it was uncomfortable. I just want to go. I require a strong cover story to attain the nitrogen tank. Can my cover story for 99.9% food grade nitrogen be sufficient? I will state I need it for food preservation as I buy fruits, vegetables and meat in bulk as I don't have time to shop every week and need to store them in nitrogen. I'll mention the vacuum sealing machines crush the fragile foods, so I just prefer to spray nitrogen into a sealed container or bag to flush out the oxygen if they were to suggest that instead and Stop me from purchasing the nitrogen. Is this enough of a cover story? I don't want any risks. I just really need the bottle. Secondly I'm going to need a 02 tester to make sure it is 99.9%, can you recommend a tester? I plan on connecting the tank to a full face scuba mask (Ocean Reef Neptune 3) which is air on demand and exhales all carbon dioxide build up. So will need help attaining some of the fittings and connections.

Also, AFAIK, some home made beer requires nitrogen saturation.

You don't really need a strong cover story to be honest. Nobody will care. Nitrogen isn't dangerous, per se. I'd actually be careful about overexplaining because that's pretty much the most suspicious thing you can do. ("He's just buying nitrogen, why's this dude telling me his life's story?") Your's is ok if somebody asks, don't be overtly verbose. I doubt anyone will even ask though, to be honest.

I just am very nervous if asked. I want to make sure my knowledge is good if questioned and make it seem like I genuinely need it for this issue. In regards to fittings, I believe my country tanks use the CGA580 valves. What do I need to connect a DIN Scuba first stage to that valve? I'll also prefer to have an O2 tester. Should I take any medications before breathing to help with any potential headaches or sleeping pills to ease the process? I plan on having a meal and drink before putting the mask on.

Is CGA580, 5/8? Which is BS341 #3 if I am correct. Is your Scuba DIN200 or 300? (300 is longer thread if memory serves correct from the megathread.)

ie, BS341 #3 to DIN300

Most just cut the quick connect fitting off the end of the hose coming from the mask, measure the ID (inside diameter) of the hose, buy a "barb" connector of the appropriate size and another piece of hose the same ID as the one from the mask, and then join the two pieces of hose together with the barb fitting. The end of the new piece of hose then just simply slides on the barb fitting of the flowmeter.

Yes the valves for the tanks here are mostly CGA580 I think. My scuba first stage is DIN 300 Scubapro MK25 EVO. I'm a Scuba diver. I need to know what is required to connect that first stage in that CGA580 valve when I attain the tank.

Very technical. I prefer to connect the first stage Regulator to the nitrogen tank valve. You can't connect a full face mask/2nd stage regulator directly to a tank even with any DIY method due to the high pressure. You need a first stage to reduce the pressure.

What I think they mean is, you'd use a flow meter like in a bag/hood setup, as you'd need a flow meter to connect tubing to an oxy meter if you're testing the gas. The Scuba valve system of the 2nd stage would still work in essence with a set flow, because the flow meter/reg will reduce pressure for the "snipped" 2nd stage, then your inhalation activates and draws whatever flow/gas is in the 2nd stage line, which either like they said, matching diameters/barbs to get it onto the flow meter, I reckon the rubber hose would go on a flow meter, then zip tie/clamp the 2nd stage hose to it. Either way, impractical with your set up.

If you can confirm BS341 #3 is the same as CGA580, then (UK) BS341 #3 to DIN300.

Perhaps look at CGA580 to DIN300

You need that regulator. Check out the megathread on the gas portion. It helped me out tremendously.

I looked it up and yes I believe it is. I just need a BS341 #3 /CGA 580 to DIN300. Secondly I still haven't anybody in regards to a O2 tester. It seems nobody here has information or knowledge on the setup. I would really like guidance. It's really simple for what I am asking for. Just need help with the connection and an O2 tester. Apologies for late response.

Which regulator? I already have a first stage DIN 300 Scubapro MK25 EVO and 2nd stage full face mask Ocean Reef 3. I just the connection to connect to the tank valve of the CGA 580.
