That adapter was probably modified by the supplier to fit the medical regulator, the original connector was probably different.
But he can connect the hose with hose clip and make sure no leaks right?

Searching an adapter to connect it to the regulator is the best bet.
The hose on the orange EEBD hood looks a bit short, maybe even getting an extension would be needed.
The hose on the yellow EEBD hood is long and with the proper connection coz that's the escMode hood which was explicity modified for the subject matter.
