I have a nitrogen tank size 8L 1.2m3 of 150-180Bar which should be enough. I'm going to use it with a normal regulator turned on low.I feel this max dog is just another way of scamming more money from us!!!

There are a few reasons why the flow needs to be accurate. Best thing to do is to read the megathread.
From what I've read the maxdog one is a repurposed oxygen regulator that you can buy direct from China for about $20. It looks like all they've done is change the adapter so it'll fit a nitrogen tank instead of an oxygen one.
