Newbie here, just want to share my plan for the future.

Hey everyone, just joined this site a few minutes ago. And I just wanted to talk about what I want to do for the future.


So I've decided that I am going to ctb eventually for pretty typical reasons. But before I do, I want to release an album. Music is the only passion I have and I want to leave at least one thing in this world before I decide to go. The genre would probably be in the same realm as progressive rock/metal. (think Tool, Opeth, Dream Theater, etc) I just want to know if anybody be interested in following my journey? I'll try to be somewhat consistent on posting demos and ideas. Hell I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any! My main goal is to create something that I can say I'm proud of myself for making. That way, I'll be more confident in my decision to ctb knowing I created something that will outlive me.

Of course I may change my mind, but I'm pretty confident that I won't find peace unless I do this. It'll be all more cathartic once it's finished.

It's a lovely idea. You may want to be careful about revealing your identity though. That's the only thing I'd caution you on. If you pick up enough of a following and reveal your plans in some way, (possibly) well meaning people may well try to stop you.

But, I wish you luck. Lots of people here love music. I'm sure lots will be interested.

Oh yeah I've definitely thought about that, it'll be tricky but I'll figure something out to protect my identity.
