• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hello everyone,
I am new to this site and I am relieved to read postings that address the importance of us having a choice regarding staying or leaving this life.
The suicide prevention community, while important, just exacerbates my loneliness. I am not interested in being assessed and thrown into a hospital.
So, in addition to hiding every minute of my life from friends and family, I also have to hide from the intended helping professionals.
I don't want to make this an over extended post, but I do have lots to say. Hopefully, it will come out as I read and respond to other posts.
I have begun a serious investigation into the various clinics in Switzerland and learning their requirements for accepting patients.
I am curious if anyone on this site knows whether EXIT has people who may assist with the enormity of the application process for the Switzerland clinics.
As much as I would rather not have to leave my home area to end my life, I am terrified of nausea, vomiting, pain, and failure. I cannot abide any more suffering. The Switzerland clinics get it done.
My heart goes out to all of you who are in emotional and or physical pain.

I don't really know much about applying for assisted suicide, but I do envy those who are able to die that way. It sounds ideal to not have to plan and research methods and worry about methods potentially failing. Such an option doesn't exist in my country as where I live is very pro life and is focused on prolonging people's suffering rather than respecting people's wishes to leave.

It's hard to believe that in a world like this people see suicide as being worse than experiencing endless pain but of course those people are ignorant as to what others go through, they don't want to accept the fact that for many life could never be worth living and that it's simply better to leave everything behind and be at rest.
I wish you freedom.

Hi,
Thank you for your thoughtful and kind response.
I am completely anti-suffering and, therefore believe we should all have a choice for a painless and quick way out.
My best to you.
