  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I really feel I need to leave my current job now because it is making me so stressed to the point of being suicidal. I feel like I bit off more than I can chew with this job and its definitely not a good fit for me. I am so depressed right now that it is making looking for another job so hard for me mentally. I feel like I need to just give in my notice to this current job and take some time off work to de-stress and be able to focus better on finding a better job for me. But I always hear that it is better to apply to jobs when you already have one so I'm scared to just leave my current one even tho I know it is the best choice for me. I have a decent savings in the mean time and live with my parents so I don't have many bills. Has anyone quit a job without having another one lined up? Would you immediately leave a job that was screwing you up so much mentally that you are at the point of suicide? I just desperately need a mental break for a little while until I find something new.

I've quit jobs both ways. If you give notice will your current employer give you a good reference? Do you have vacation time or sick leave you can use on your way out? x

I quit my job in April last year and went travelling for 6 months, knowing full well that I would come back to the UK in september with 0 savings. And I was fine. If you live with your parents and have savings, and it's making you so depressed that you're suicidal I would say this is a no-brainer, personally.

Leave the job with a big FU. Just walk out when they really need you. No job is worth your life as I figured out a little too late.

I'm in somewhat of the same situation.

I find it difficult to go and find another job because of the lack of energy and motivation that I have. I'm not quitting my job until I find another one.
