Help Need some help with the CO method

Hello,

I am considering the CO method. I have read about it, but still have som questions.

If I do it in a tent, is there a spesific tent i need to use?

Does anybody know about both successfull and unsuccessfull attempts?

Why would you do it with CO or why would you not?

What can go wrong?

Sorry for so many questions. Hope somebody that knows a little bit more about this can help.

If it's not too personal, do you have any lasting damage or anything along those lines? If you don't feel comfy enough to disclose I understand!

I don't know much more than you do but CO would also be my preferred method, since so many people die accidentally and if done right I feel like it could be made to look accidental.

That being said though, there's so many nuances, if you want it to look like an accident putting up warnings is an immediate red flag. Not to mention there's been a lot of attempts that aren't successful on here, one attempt that sounded particularly painful( I believe if you just look up CO or CO attempt you'll find a comment/thread that has a list of these attempts).

If successful though I imagine it's just like falling asleep, and that fits in really good with my "brain stuff" and I think can still be done, you just need to plan everything out

I seem to have gotten away without any lasting issues. I was on oxygen till 2 or 3pm the following day and had a high heart rate at one point but cognitively I seem to be fine.
I was so wiped out I slept 14hrs and it took quite a while for blood gasses to come back OK but other than vomiting a few times and having a fairly unquenchable thirst till maybe yesterday all seems ok.
I think they regret they let me out.
They tried to recall me as high risk 30mins after I left and phoned again at 9pm

I'm glad you didn't have anything lasting! I vaguely recall that you had also taken some kind of benzos, do you think that might've contributed to you sleeping for so long also?

If you obtain CO from something like sodium formate or formic acid and plan to inhale it from a plastic bag, then any tent that can protect you from disturbing by wind, rain, or snow would be good enough.

What can go wrong?

Depends on the method. Possible complications with formic acid include chemical burns and irritation by acidic fumes, common complications with charcoal combustion are disturbing excessive heat and insufficient concentration of CO.

They said in front of a friend who'd come in that I was free to go. When they rang I was in a public place with said friend. They weren't happy but there wasn't anything they could do at that point.
The call afterwards seemed a bit odd. They asked me where I was so I just said I was out and didn't give a location. They asked if I felt better. I did say, you won't like the answer but what's the point?

If they thought I was a danger they could in theory send the police and a mental health worker to my address to return me to hospital.

Yeah the sleeping meds could have contributed I guess
