If you are looking for insane despair, search for "depressive suicidal black metal", this sub genre was very good in 2005-2010, but unfortunately nowadays it is just tasteless. Search for albums in that period, I can name a few artists I really like : Totalselfhatred, Gris, Coldworld and Lifelover. Take care.

I actually mostly listen to music from video games since I can't relate to songs about love or sex and it seems like that's most of the songs with lyrics. RM5998 already mentioned Nier Automata. Elder Scrolls would be an honorable mention as well.
