Need to find the sweet spot. Might need socks or strips of pipe insulation round the ligature where you expect the corrotid arteries to bePartial works sometimes but seversal people here have posted that they tried this method from 15 to 25 times without it working, and many others have posted that they tried it least once without it working. This method works sometimes, but it seems that this is a low percentage method to work.
