Is it worth padding your neck? I'm planning on carotid artery compression using the tourniquet method, with tights as a ligature. Not sure what to use to pad my neck though, if anything.
Yeah, and to hopefully lessen bruising. Not a dumb question at all lol :)For comfort? Sorry, probs dumb question
Yes I think it is important. Anything that can provide comfort makes CTB less painful.Yeah, and to hopefully lessen bruising. Not a dumb question at all lol :)
What kind of material specifically? Don't want something too thick ofc.Yes I think it is important. Anything that can provide comfort makes CTB less painful.
Yeah if it's too thick it will, if it's thin enough it'll hopefully be less painful and leave less bruisingMy first thought (I know nothing though) is it might reduce the chance of success? Since it might be harder to get accurate enough compression? Or enough pressure?

A small towel. A neck warmer. What kind of material specifically? Don't want something too thick ofc.
Thank you!A small towel. A neck warmer.

I changed the date to Monday for personal reasons and more prep time, but yeah that's my method. Going to use a pair of tights, not sure on what I'll use to keep the knot tied but I'm going to test different things when I practice tying the knots. Probably going to use a spoon or pen thoughAre you going to ctb this saturday using tourniquet method? Any info regarding the tools you will be using?

That's the one I'm planning on, just want to practice and make sure I don't do a granny knot instead on the actual attemptI have read a square knot can be used.
Yeah, trying not to buy new things though so my money can be donated or go towards my funeralDidn't the book last five acts recommend something like a fleece headband for padding?
