N to NZ

Hello fellow Kiwis!
I did a bit of research awhile ago on getting N shipped to New Zealand. Seems we're one of a couple of countries that'll sentence anyone trying to get it into the country. Having to do a five year jail term just doesn't seem worth it, probably safer (ha) to just use another method imo.

Can you provide a link to the legal information you're basing this assumption off of?

I do not think you will go to jail for importing something to end your own life. If you import something to aid someone else in ending their life then you're effectively assisting in suicide so then it is probably a more serious issue.

For any other New Zealanders who might view this thread. I've spoken to 3 people from NZ and 2 of them managed to get N into the country. One person got theirs seized but there was not any follow up from Police or anything like that.

I know you weren't replying to me, but if I'm going to take my own life I want it to be N. Sodium Nitrite seems to be easy to get (I have some) but It also seems like a shit way to go.

N truly does seem like the ultimate way to go if you want a peaceful transition.

from your research i am guessing Australia was in that category as well?? I managed to get SN in but N would always be my preference

I know you weren't replying to me but yes, Australia has a prison sentence for N as well. Most countries do. Apparently though customs are much more lax in Europe than in Aus/NZ. I think this might be the fault of Nietschke (or how you spell the peaceful pill guy's name) because he was in Australia when he was doing all his suicide stuff so they cracked down on it.

Yeah, if you read that article it just mentions what the maximum penalty is for importing a class C drug and getting caught. That's just the article quoting what is written in law. If you read any article by Stuff or NZ Herald about crime they will always mention the maximum penalty for whatever crime the article is about.

There is 0% chance a judge here in New Zealand is going to send you to jail for importing something that you want to use to peacefully end your life. Same with Australia, unless you're importing tons of the stuff you really have nothing to worry about on that front.

The biggest concern is over-zealous customs taking your stuff and then you've lost $1000 USD that you can't get back. The police might come and visit you and ask you why you were importing a well-known suicide drug. And you're not obligated to tell them the specifics. They can't really do anything apart from try and direct you towards mental health services if you're not suffering from a severe illness.

Like I said, the one person who I talked to that had his N confiscated didn't even get a follow up from Police. But he was obviously pissed off at being out of pocket almost $1000 USD which is understandable.

I know you are correct but just the thought of jail time is enough to put me off. We do have a very zealous customs agency it seems so the chances of it going through are slim so I don't know if I want to waste the money.

Look, at the end of the day if there's anything in life that is putting you off CTB I consider that a good thing for you. It shows you're in a better frame of mind then most I think.

The only thing putting me off atm is a fear of failure I'd gladly get N but the idea of jail time terrifies me coz then I really won't be able to do anything properly.

Thanks for the discussion. I guess my fear is not wanting anyone else around me to find out and subsequently keep a close eye on me - I can stand the thought of losing the money but it would really not be ideal to have the police visit, for instance.

My N arrived last week finally. The UPS tracking information told me it had cleared customs and was sitting in a warehouse for about 5 weeks. Then all of a sudden it changed status and it seemed to be saying it was still with customs awaiting clearance and that customs was trying to contact the receiver and shipper for "clearance information". In all I would say about 6-7 weeks from date of order to when I received it. However, the order had been in NZ for 5-6 weeks before I got it as previously mentioned. I have to admit I was surprised that it turned up, I thought something had happened at customs with the lengthy delay.

It is two small bottles (the bottles are smaller than I thought they'd be) inside separate white cardboard boxes, each box would fit into the palm of my hand. D (supplier) had used some stealth.

I haven't tested the product yet, if anyone knows where to get an affordable testing kit for barbiturates (N) then do let me know.
