Just trying to catch a bus!

If you had a mystery illness that prevents you from sleeping and you're never able have restorative sleep would it make you want to ctb. Also if whatever you ate did not give energy or make you feel good would make want to ctb. This is my reality. No matter how hard I try to sleep I'm not able to. And if I eat food I feel no different. I feel like a walking zombie. I appreciate your support and this group a lot. I appreciate you listening to me. I know what I said may sound strange. It's truth and it all too much to bear therefore I want ctb.

Your situation sounds similar to mine, although my sleeping struggles didn't develop until this past January (have had an undiagnosable health problem for 4 years and counting now though). I completely understand where you're coming from with this. Having to deal with a mystery illness as you put it is soul crushing, especially since it's one of the issues that life can throw at you that you literally can never get a break from.

I'm so sorry for your pain and suffering. It's horrible when you have an unknown disease that is making your life miserable.
I can't imagine your pain. If you ever want to pm you can. I appreciate your reply to my message.

Nem I'm sorry. I can feel your pain and frustration. Do you have medical problems that cause insomnia. I appreciate your reply and hope you can find relief.

Hugs, I had a med reaction that basically destroyed my nervous system. Sleep was really affected negatively. Sorry to hear about your situation
Peace

I have been the same way, for about the last 5 years myself, I haven't really slept much either due to insomnia, I would get about 2 to 3 hours a night, and it's not consecutively, I wake up quite a few times in between that 2 to 3 hour sleep, it sucks, so I can understand what your going through.

Not strange at all and is an absolutely scientifically proven fact that your two symptoms have a significant impact on both your mental and physical health. Are you not in a position to seek medical assistance for them?

Yeah. Similar situation. Symptoms but no diagnosis. The words syndrome and functional are words I've come to dread.
I have to pee every half hour at night and I get next to no sleep due to pain from bowel impaction.
Lack of sleep, amongst other things, is killing me. Try explaining that to anyone though.

After suffering insomnia for about 8 months, 2 years ago, I can empathise. To be of any help whatsoever, could you explain what you have tried to alleviate that problem of lack of sleep. You might be undiagnosed as a illness, but there are many things you can try to help bring about sleep.

I was talking it over one day with my head doc of the time and he suggested changing when I took one of my meds from morning to night. Then he amazed me by telling me to take them with alcohol. Most meds tell you to avoid alcohol. But I tried it and it worked for the most part. I dont do it every night, but if I go 2-3 nights without much sleep, which has so many knock on effects, then I take my meds with a strong rum n coke and I am out for 8 hours. I dont always feel refreshed from that, but some sleep is better than no sleep in my book, so its a positive. Going without sleep for long periods, it is going to take time to get back into routines and start to feel any effects.

I completely get where you're coming from. Have been struggling with a mystery illness for years as well that makes me chronically fatigued along with a whole list of other symptoms. It makes me want to ctb, especially since everybody seems to think 'it just psychological' or 'it's all in your head'. Honestly, if these people with their good advice were going through the same thing they'd know better. Makes me want to bash their head in really I get so sick of it
