• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

"You had whole week of vacation and you stayed at your house the whole time?!"
"You're not doing anything for New Year's Eve?!"

I know they're not mean-spirited and that I am actually the weird one but god, it's so exhausting.
It reminds you about how much you're different from other people, how much you fucked up and ended up now being totally alone, it makes you feel like shit basically.

Relatable. It weighs on you to have to answer "No" every time someone asks if you have plans.

I had lived with these exciting things. They are fun, but everything ends sooner or later. It is surprisingly easy to go out and do something crazy (in my case it's ultra-endurance cycling) if you have some money collected, that is if you want something that is crazy. Being alone often means you don't have to plan things with someone else, so I do all of my crazy things alone. Like you could go get drunk and go sing your ass out in some solo-karaoke, or maybe get drugs from black market idk.

What are they expecting you to do? It always amazes me how expectations are thrown around. Ive experienced the same and i become bored of the narrow- minded small talk. I.chose instead to live a life, essentially with a few good people and one is my carer due to ill health. If people dont like my lifestyle, well thats their problem.

People don't get when you're at that stage where all you can do is survive. You do what you can, don't feel pressure from what is expected or the norm.
I hope things improve for you, take care.

Yes I get the same thing. The older I get the more I realize I am probably the most socially unfunctional person I have ever met. Even people whom I assumed were fellow outcasts always seem to have plenty of things happening in their lives.

Deleted my previous comment so I could express my thoughts better. Thing is, it depends on the place where are you from I guess. From where I stand - they are the weird ones. Commenting and judging on how you are spending your deserved free time is weird. What is not weird is how you decide to spend it. It is crazy to me honestly as in my workplace its normal to say that you just rested for a few weeks or you will just stay at home for a specific bank holiday and it is absolutely not out of ordinary. What I wanted to say is that it is circumstantial and one workplace and people in it does not define what is normal. Please understand, you are not the weird one. It is just fine to just stay at home when you need to or feel like it and dont feel bad about it. We all deserve rest and rest definition is different for everyone.

Oh my god, I can relate so much to this!

A guy I thought was a total outcast actually spent his New Year's Eve with a group of friends I never heard of and in cool restaurants in Paris :' )

I mean, I spent my entire break at home, too--and I say it has been really fine, and I would say I'm a pretty usual person too.

You're not fucked up for wanting to chill and decompress for your break. It is a rude question and a rude response; you have the right to feel insulted by such an inappropriate engagement. Wishing you the best. You're not a piece of shit for knowing loneliness.
