My SN from DMC

I just got DMC SN in mailbox.....It feels like a brick--hard as a rock...what the heck? Is it supposed to be like this? I ordered a cheaper version through biz acct on Am and it was a fine powder....thought that DMC would be safer source. Was I wrong???

The "cheaper version" was probably mostly sodium chloride. People do still die from that mixture but it isn't reliable and will be slow.

The stuff you have got from DMC is behaving as expected. If you're nervous, you could test it.

Thanks, I dont even want to test it as it seems to be reliable for others who used it....but does it crumble into salt when broken apart? or do you just weigh the pieces you break off and then dilute with the 50 ml water? I guess I was just expecting a bag of salt/powder. I tested the other cheaper w/ strips/distilled water and seemed legit.

it will loosen up with air. it is vac sealed. there may be some clumps. others have just made sure to wait and stir.

not testing DMC-others say its ok. Amz order and correspondence was bit questionable and i did test with strips and seemed to be ok but there are questions posed in lot of threads re: reliability of the strips, etc...its hard to know really.

I was concerned when I got mine too but I get it now. As stated above it's because it is vacuum packed so well. Will last a long long time if unopened. I would think even the clumps should easily dissolve in water as SN is highly soluable. Just stir well.

No, i dont have the strength. A number of others here have done so and reported it ok....
