Calm down ...it happens to many people...(happened to me) find someone younger who is familiar with the latest drugs.I am suffering ocd, depression, body dymorphia, psychotic symptoms, mini traumas, anti social behavior urges. Agree with this. They use their textbook methods of behavior modification and if they don't work, the patient is unwilling. There couldn't possibly be anything wrong with the methods, or even the idea that these thoughts are not always a product of our behaviors. This all happened to my daughter. Before she took her own life and way before this site with resources was available. She was dropped by a psychiatrist because she was not responsive to therapy. She was scared, depressed and not responding. And eventually she took her own life.
Sometimes I feel like what people want out of mental health programs is patients who fit into very discrete boxes of "you will follow this process for 6 weeks and slowly be cured" and then if the cure doesn't work the patient is at fault for not trying hard enough and is just a "difficult patient" but it's not that the mental health system isn't working well.
It's very black and white to the Kelli's of the world.

The state things are in make healcare almost redundant for anyone without an illness which doesn't fall into their cookie cutter one size fits all system.
FFS. When will they learn absolute patience? Just because they can't see an expected response, doesn't mean there isn't one. There are times when I simply cannot respond, but I know that someone is there with me at the very least and is trying to help navigate the darkness. It is EVERYTHING.because she was not responsive to therapy
