Hi everyone, I believe we are not yet acquainted. I was mostly a lurker on this forum that I joined because my life has taken a huge turn and after careful research and spiritual research with the help of some friends and this forum, I am finally at peace knowing I did everything I could to leave this world on my terms.

So, I'm going to use SN, a method I first learned about on this forum which intrigued me.

I asked some friends in med school about methemoglobinemia and its symptoms.

Today I have almost all the great necessary, at the exception of acid reducers which I was not allowed to get from my gp. Will probably go the internet route or bypass its use and hope for the best (I hate the word hope tbh.).

I will very soon decide to depart, I still have some stuff to organize and affairs to put in order.

I love this forum and your compassion, I never thought I'd ever find useful resources from like-minded people.

It looks like we bought SN from the same vendor, as did @melanar and @peaceminusbts. If you don't mind me asking questions, I'm interested in your set-up. What do you intend to use the tape and the sheet with the ''warning sign'' for? What's in the box with the Denkverbot label on it (on the left)? Is the grinding bowl for the SN in case of clumps? - The tape and the warning sign is for when anyone will find my body. I intend to not be found quickly, so I'll most likely be in an advanced state of decomposition and I think it's polite to warn others if they could enter in contact with my corpse. So the tape will help me to flag the zone as "contaminated by a corpse".

- The box on the left is my "psychiatric candies box" aka all my antidepressant and xanax. I will use the grinding tool to crush up the xanax pill and take a bunch all at once to feel a bit more relaxed before I take the SN and listen to music.

Thanks, but I'm curious about your symptoms. What are the symptoms of SN poisoning in the period of time when the person is conscious? Did they tell you anything about this?

Yeah, confusion, cognitive impairement, cyanosis and fatigue. They never said headaches though, which was surprising because I see it mentioned all the time here.

@Hurry To put it simply, when you ingest sodium nitrite, your stomach will do its job with it, which is breaking it down. How? By raising the level of hydrochloric acid, which will react will the sodium nitrite and create normal salt. Which may, in high concentrations, make your body react by vomiting. So in order to be completely sure you're not vomiting because of salt, you use a proton-pump inhibitor, aka antiacid like Tagamet. Now that's the ideal case where you lower the acid in your stomach AND take antiemetic, but anti emetic should suffice if you don't have a choice. I think.

I'm not an expert by any metric, just some random guy with a death wish that made a bit of research here and there. Don't take everything I say at face value and verify sources and claim by yourself if you want to be sure. Fasting helps your stomach stay mostly at rest and not overly acid, and will prevent vomiting. Also food or drinks would slow the effects of sodium nitrite.

Do you happen to know if other antiemetics, not necessarily dopamine based ones will be sufficient to keep sn down? The one I could get prescribed works on 5HT receptors.

@bubbletea I do not have the medical background required to be certain, but I've read that antiemetics working on the 5HT receptors are used to prevent nausea and vomiting in chemotherapy, so it probably will be enough for sodium nitrite poisoning. I went the easy route of getting meto so I did not research the other antiemetic enough, sorry about my incomplete answer.

I don't mind answering, but I was kinda preparing some stuff and forgot to come back in this thread.

Step 0: start a 1-2 day metoclopramide regimen and fast 8 hours before the SN ingestion, as I want to raise the success rate as close to 100% as possible.

Step 1: find an isolated pretty place, somewhere in the wild I think - like a cozy forest or something - and go on a hike there. (I know 2 or 3 spots which are really remote and hikers used to get lost for days there, it will complexify the task of any rescue team. Sorry rescue, love you guys but you're standing in my way. ~)

Step 2: set up some comfortable things, a tent, some pillow, a portable radiator, I've got all the camping gear necessary.

Step 3: take some xanax pills to get a bit more relaxed in the face of imminent death.

Step 4: dilute between 15 and 20 g of sodium nitrite in this lil' potion bottle.

Step 5: take the last dose of meto & antiacids, and wait 1 hour for it to reach peak efficiency.

Step 6: either make a goodbye post here or chat up with some peeps that give me comfort so I don't feel too alone traveling to the other side.

Step 7: drink my [Eternal slumber potion +50 Fatigue - Cure Life]

Step 8: die? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bonus step: there was a user here (@Hurry, who has posted in this thread) who added "eat a couple spoons of nutella to get rid of the taste" and I like the idea. Might probably add something like that at the last moment idk. (This post is not sponsored by nutella™)

At least that's the outline of my plan, it might need some correcting here and there but I believe it's a good compromise between peacefulness and what I can achieve in my current depressed lazy state.
