Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

After being depressed and suicidal for a while, I decided to change. I got on meds, and decided to go to college for photography, since the alternative was just me killing myself.

Have the college I want to attend picked, I got accepted, and got merit based scholarships, but it still doesn't cover the costs. My parents have said they aren't going to co sign in loans since they don't support me going to college for photography, and I don't know of anyone else who would be willing and able to cosign.

Basically, I just can't go. I don't really have anything left. No plans for the future, no reason to live, my friends hate me, and I don't talk to anyone honestly.

I think my fate is just sealed. Sucks but it is what it is.

I'm sorry to hear, I've been there, and I understand your frustration. Especially since you've worked so hard to turn things in the right direction. However, it's always a good idea to have a backup plan. I know it's not your first choice, but isn't there a way to work while you're in school, work for a year or two to save money for school, and or apply to another school that would be more affordable? I know everything seems very black & white right now, but there are many shades of gray that could still lead you to the life you want.

My main goal was to try to go to a school that has a good photography program and is generally good with arts. Unfortunately, none of the nearby colleges that fit that criteria are affordable. I don't feel like the effort to try to figure something else out would be worth it in the end, and I doubt I'd even be able to get myself to do it. Thank you though, I appreciate it.
