Here are some threads I posted to help others to recover. I think some considered them good recovery resources so I will link them here in one thread. Maybe that is better than just to repeat the content of them. It was hard work to write them and just to repeat them in other (maybe worse) words seems stupid.
I could have included even way more. I just realized once again I am a pretty heavy poster in this forum. But honestly finding new ideas for the recovery sub-forum has become extremely difficult for me. I ran out of ideas in this sub-forum. But I am surprised how many different threads I came up with so far. In off-topic it is so much easier to find new ideas. And I ruminate way more about suicide than about recovery or a positive attitude.
Well I hope anyone might find some thoughts of these threads at least somewhat helpful. Have a good day. Don't be too harsh on yourself. And allow yourself to make mistakes. We are all only humans.
You can live with suicidal thoughts without committing suicide
Yeah at the moment I feel a little bit better. I try to spread some positive vibes here in recovery and provide some resources for other people who want to recover. I personally really doubt my life will have a happy end but this does not mean other people can't have it. Having suicidal...

How to recognize your depression is deluding you. Many people don't even know they have depression.
First of all many people with depression don't recognize they are depressive. Depression is a dangerous and treacherous condition. It can make you feel like the situation was hopeless despite the fact it isn't. The best thing is probably to talk with a professional. If you cannot pay for it I...

How can people in real life get the best help for recovery? How can they reach out for help?
This is recovery this is why I hope people could benefit from that thread. I think before someone commits suicide it would be better to open up in real life to someone. But this sounds way easier than it is. I personally had a lot of luck to have such good friends. My family did not really react...

A guide how to fight nasty depressions
Here I try to provide some resources for people who want to try recovery. I want to give something back to the people who have supported me this much since I have joined. As I said in another thread: "Recognizing the symptoms is key. Unfortunately, about half the people who have depression...

Breaking the habit - escaping negative/depressive thinking patterns
I am not an expert in that. Though I try to help with the knowledge that I have. I am not perfect at breaking with bad habits which increase my depression. I try to keep them at a low dosage. If I recognize I can't get rid of something I allow it for a low dosage. I do this especially with my...

Which things should one experience before dying?
I had this thought today. I feel less pain than usual. I have some free time and I have so many options what I can do with it. There is always this thought in my mind that it could be soon over with this. My mind is quite fragile, sometimes I am on the edge of a new mania or even a new...

What would you be willing to sacrifice for the sake of recovery?
I try to fight to avoid my suicide. I try a lot. Despite the fact my chances are low I really dedicate my time and energy into my attempt to recover. I think this is a good attitude. I am kind of proud of it. Though life can be often quite cynical despite we dedicate all of our energy our hopes...

I think life is worth fighting for
After a series of depressive threads here is one which is a little bit more positive. As I explained in another thread I have read today an article about a ME/CFS case which is really heartbreaking. I really felt sorry for her. And she is still fighting and hoping for recovery. She is in a lot...

How do you find a way to keep living? How to find the right path to cope with life
I think this is quite a personal question. The answer to the question depends highly on the individual. I think I have different approaches how to find a way to go on living. I think about the problems I am scared the most of and how I could solve them. Or at least postpone them or make them...

Can mental health medication save someone's life?
I think the short answer for that is quite clear. Yes mental health medication have the potential to do that. But I think a more intricate elaboration might be necessary. Recently I saw a new documentary about antidepressants on youtube. I watched it only partly. I jumped to the end and their...

Fighting against the odds as a survival strategy
Another recovery resource I don't know whether it really helps. I try to fight against the odds. I am really scared about biases and being deceived by mental illness or other possible distortions. I mean many humans have biases I try to be self-aware. However no matter how much we read or learn...

Maybe the mindset of trying to make the best out of it is a very healthy one
I often think about suicide. However I don't want to give up and turn to fatalism or nihilism instead. The latter approach brought a lot of pain with it. I can understand that many people who are at rock bottom will laught at that notion "to make the best out of it". But personally I try to look...

Suicide is a decision which is not running away
I hope to share something more positive today. Maybe it is induced by manic symptoms but I don't know. It is also related to my life. Personally I don't really want to commit suicide. I try to avoid that. I cannot imagine that I will succeed eventually but I improved on different levels. My...
