  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I (20f) am living with my parents and I am a uni student.
My mother just argued with me because I cannot smile or whatever, and I told her that If she can't handle my mental health issues Im gonna go live with my grandparents.
The thing is, she owns my grandparents place, and she can tell that as an arguement on why I can't go there.

I cannot handle being in the same house as someone who cannot just leave me alone and not bother me when all I want is peace and to be left alone.
The other thing is, I want to quit university. I cannot physically handle going to school, let alone doing assignments and exams.
Idk what to do with my life rn.
Also, I cant get my own place. I don't have money and my mental health issues are bad enough that I cant work currently.

I would say continue going to uni.

If you want to escape the situation, you will have to take advantage of every opportunity available.

If working is not possible, you need to stay in school and work towards a degree.

You do not want to be even more stuck than you already are.

From what you said, it seems like you need independence. The key to that is obviously to get your degree and make your own living.

You might not want to continue with university, but you might have to.That's the only way you can stand on your two feet and get away from toxic people like your mother and also any future toxic people that you might come across like an SO. I hope you get my drift.

I know all this is easier said than done. And I'm sorry. I too was under my parents' shadow for a very long time. But now I'm working, I finished my degree and I'm independent. I'm miserable, but I'm independent😂

You can be miserable and independent too at some point in your life. It's something to look forward to.
