Yet another antinatalism post. Sorry.

People need to use their brains and think practically before reproducing. Sometimes when I see ppl being absolute a**holes, I ask myself what were their parents thinking breeding this miserable creature! Then I realize THEY WEREN'T!! I cannot believe most people are so DUMB, do they not realize how terrible this world is? Humans are so selfish, why must they bring another slave into this prison planet.

Everywhere I look, all I see is BREED BREED BREED!! Religions make it much worst since most are anti-abortion and some don't even believe in using birth-controls. Most of music industry, movies, and tv shows all push the procreation agenda. Literally love and sex everywhere. This extremely frustrating when I try to watch a good movie/tv show they find a way to sneak in romance, sex or other pro-life garbage.

LOL I was hoping covid is the one that can end us all but......I guess not.

Yes, I agree. Seeing pregnant people is really triggering as are people with kids. I see some really gross people at the grocery store with kids. Also it's like a new term to 'fuck me'- people write 'breed me'. It's so gross. Shit is only going to get more expensive and more competitive. I hate how entitled everyone is....like getting so worked up in how important they are...and how important their kids are celebrating everything they do and taking pictures like it's some big accomplishment.

I also hate sometimes seeing on here frazzled suicidal people who ask: why shouldn't I have kids when I get more stable? I'm like JUST SAY NO

You know... a lot of people preach about veganism and recycling and saving on resources. But.

Not having children saves a *lot* of trees and such. Letting the human race die out is the best thing any of us could possibly offer. Just don't reproduce. :notsure:

As an antinatalist, it's truly bizarre that people are willing to inflict a lifetime of suffering on their children by bringing them into existence. Then again, most are blindly optimistic and believe that LiFe Is A gIfT, so it must be worthwhile for their children! It must be worthwhile, even when RTD isn't legal, and we have to covertly go on websites like SS just to find peace in an unforgiving world!

Honestly, I am not surprised being someone who lives in Latin America, sex education does not exist here, there are pro-life people who criticize those who abort, but they do not even look at the children who try to survive on the street.

Totally, this world is not a good place to procreate. Just don't. Nobody in their right mind would choose to come to this hell if given the choice. A child will not kill your boredom or save your relationships...

I'm with you @MiseryWithoutCompany , I just got really tired of trying to raise awareness of climate change as people don't seem to care about how they're fucking up the world. Hopefully a bigger and worse pandemic will be unleashed and kill us all >:D

Wasn't there mention of like... Corona strand Delta surfacing and hitting people that already were vaccinated? Unless there's been updates on that, it could be that the Corona virus was a close contender to being the World's Problem Solver. :shy:

ikr I was so happy at the beginning of this pandemic. I was like FINALLY our civilization is ending. But nope :(

I am still hopeful, one day in the future something much worse will wipe us out. Lol I guess I won't be alive to see the future.

Hi. Latin America have condom distribution but is just to prevent STDs, not to control birth.
More people = More buyers = More money.
I don't think corona will be the kind of virus that will wipe all or a big portion of human race, even the strand delta. However, covid is an example of how the world can be easily wiped. Covid was all over the globe in like 3 months, took 1 year for a vaccine to be released, which was very fast, actually, usually it takes 2~3 years.
I guess the next pandemic, might be the end.

I also hate the fact that there's a stigma about ppl who decide not to have kids. They call us lazy, selfish, and cold. lmao because every person with a kid isn't that.

Everything is getting more expensive its a wonder anyone plans on having kids and expecting them to live privileged lives.

You are right.

Unfortunately, we evolved were as soon as we are maturing(sexually), we are already breeding as teens onward. Our learning curve for learning valuable life skills and such is through your whole 20's. By 30, tons have children, and by 35 it starts to be a risk to even carry a pregnancy to term.

We must always keep in mind that WE are the normal people.
The breeders that want to bring children into this disgusting world are NOT NORMAL. The people that want to continue living no matter how horrible their lives are....they are the ones who are mentally ill.
Suicidal people realize how pointless life is. That is reality. That is normal thinking.

People choose to have children in a life that has unlimited potential for suffering. All of our problems are caused by the fact that we exist in the first place. We are forced into this world without choice and we are denied a right to die, it is cruel. It is selfish to bring new life into this world, but I guess many people are convinced they are doing a good thing by doing so.

as a parent I should be disagreeing with you all, and whilst I hate these threads and will debate to fuck, I ask you see it from another point of view....

If you are one of the lucky few on this earth, as in born not understanding poverty, ill health, ill treatment and so forth, your natural progression is to bring more life into this world.
OR you have been so deprived of anything natural from a parent, you desperately seek to fill a void missing from your world.
I fit both.... but 8 yrs from the last birthing, I regret every choice.

Its only n the last 2 or so yrs I realise what a selfish c**t I am, and what kind of world I am bringing the next generation into/

I wish 21 yrs ago, I had the narrow minded view of parenting etc that many here do, but life has a thing called hindsight, and I didn't know then what I know now. So I have subjected 6 human beings to a life of suffering.
iN the last year, I have learned my mother wished I were never born, this has added to so much heartbreak, so I now whilst knowing what hell I have potentially brought my children into, I will never allow them to feel unwanted etc.
Instead from a young age, they have learned about suicide, mental health, self harm, and so forth. My 11yr old talks openly about all, understanding and knowing the causes, and the consequences for the past couple years, she has stated loudly, she will never reproduce, for this I respect her. I know she speaks of a path she will follow, the others... still working progress.

Whilst I understand many are angry at being born, when they wish they were not without permission, as someone who was unwanted, yet has reproduced, I just ask you look beyond the what's ifs, deal with the shit you have been handed, and reach out to others, and teach them in a kind way, that reproducing isn't everything, there is more then just the so called *next generation*

Most people are brainwashed and are conditioned to have kids since young age. That is how our society is, plus that is how nature works. It is unfortunately in our DNA to procreate. I know that my post was a bit irrational, I am sorry I was having a really bad day. I am usually not a hateful person and I completely understand your perspective.

Oh hell its cool, I can get heated on these threads as I see it from both sides, but some people on this forum, are very much anti and refuse to debate in a healthy way and just see me for example as scum, even though I kinda agree with you!

So do I ugh....stupid parents of mine couldn't think through the consequences of their actions.... :(
What's worse than them putting us here is, on top of traumatizing us, not accepting responsibility and expecting us to fix the mess of human being they created.

Despite our hard relationship I still love my mom, but ugh, what a shitty world, what was she thinking...?

Yet another anti-nihilism post.

Did you mean anti-natalism perhaps?

Anyway, I'm an anti-natalist. I believe that bringing children (or any sentient being) into existence is unethical. I don't think that people who do are necessarily "bad people", I just think that they're people, and thus flawed and misguided. Then again, I've also met parents who absolutely are selfish assholes who have children only for their own benefit, without for one second trying to see things from their children's perspective.

the worst is that 99% of people who have children then go on to feel like their children owe them somehow, as if they asked to be born. kids really don't owe their parents anything, reproduction is quite selfish and it's weird creating an entirely new person who has no input whether they want this to happen lmao.

and don't get me started on how a lot of people use children as a way of processing their own traumatic upbringing ("im going to be so much better than MY parents, i will NEVER do what they did to my kids, my kids will have such a better upbringing)…and then they end up treating them the same, but in different methods. lol please don't have kids just to vicariously experience through them the childhood you wish you had, and then in the process end up inflicting new trauma on these children.

i don't think the majority of people are anywhere near emotionally mature enough to raise children, or even open minded enough

I think you've come from a good place with well-off intentions, with hindsight delivering itself at the speed it often does... There's no reason to hate people like you I think. I agree with the gentler approach to delivering the message, rather than bashing someone for a mistake or choice they made long ago. I understand your perspective, and I hope you're doing okay... :mmm:

I stand by the earlier statement, that reproducing is a big contributor to problems, but... understanding this really is fighting the natural instinct of all living things. Ut's a natural instinct to want to cover the world in our kind, without critical thinking of how to preserve the earth in the long run. (I don't think wasps or ants or dandelions understand the repurcussions of a successful "takeover") So definitely would be our duty to emphasize the impact in a way others could properly understand. Informed amd not afraid, that kind of thing.
