ive seen a 12 year old who got sent there for cutting himself and fighting back when there parents beat them cause that meant that the kid was "violent"

the kid got polypharmed and he was more fucked up then a heroin addict.

he would talk in nonsense word salad and he has so much movement disorders he would twitch and shake like a methhead and he would try to fall asleep whenever he sat down but couldnt cause of the movement disorders so he would just sit there eyes closed and twitch like crazy.

you dont give a fuck about the kids mental health if you did you would immidealtly take the kid off his meds to prevent permament brain damage and pssd. stop pretending you do to get insurance money at that point just give them sugar pills.

they would just put you on so many ssri and antipsychotic downers you would become retarted and fucked up because then you wouldnt be annoying. proabably most of the kids who went there have brain damage and permanent brain damage and pssd and would have better mental health if they got no meds.

guys dont worry i didnt get super messed up from the psych meds i was outpatient so they didnt overmedicate me.

something similar happened to me. when i was around 14 and severely paranoid i had a panic attack in front of the mental hospital's psychiatrist at the thought of going home. they had to force me out the door and they used that episode to label me with disorders like "oppositional defiant disorder" and "bipolar" when i was 14 and just severely traumatized from my home life.

After diagnosing me with these things I didn't have, he put me on 200 mg of lamotrigine, a mood stabilizer. 200 mg is an adult dose, i was getting it at 14. it turned me into an unreactive blank slate and ruined my friendships. nobody wanted me anymore, i was boring to them. i stayed like that for a year until i got a new psychiatrist and they took me off it.

but still, the doctors immediately run to medication to solve all my problems. my adhd? guanfacine, two different adderall prescriptions for different times of day so i can constantly be medicated. my depression? duloxetine. my ptsd? prazosin. i think its just severe laziness and a lack of morality as to why they do this.

I'm on this forum because of the antipsychotics I was forced on in psych ward. I can never heal. I need to die soon. It's disgraceful that they polydrug children too, they shouldn't be allowed to. They have no idea the damage they are causing, Psychiatry is full of criminals. I wish we could force them on the same poison they push on us . Bunch of glorified drug dealers forever changing the neurochemistry in our brains. I will never forgive them.

I'm here because of meds damage too.

I wish I had done street drugs instead of listening to doctors. Addicts have better prospect of recovery (given they don't overdose to death)

Got put on Paroxetine… didn't ween off it correctly (only took it for like a week though since they kept me a little longer than 72hrs)- I had weird brain zaps for like a YEAR!

It was horrible! I would be laying in bed and get this weird quivering sensation…

Celexa was hands down the WORST antidepressant I ever took though! I never had physical symptoms with my depression- I have always been "functional". Those meds just made me feel like I was in constant distress and pain. If I was already suicidal before…it definitely made it worse….

I am on ssri antidepressants setraline 100mg for 10+ years now, and I am stabilized. Was in psych ward 15 years ago where suicidii tendamen. Antidepressants are OK. I am just nolifering away, but its OK.
